Yes,new signs have been put up. NO! futher signs where added to help this from happening again. Mr. Hens did send a contact # for NYSDOT but I cant figure out why they cant talk to each other or maybe I do ! This is NY !!
I will track data and when there is a death I will supply this info to those partys. This is a pure saftey issue,for my family as well those who travel RT 33,maybe I should call the news !
People there laugh at how many times this has happened,nothing funny about it !! Im sure when one dies we will have a fix,WTF !

NYSDOT does not monitor this website. I suggest you call them with your complaint at 343-0502, or try the Regional Traffic Operations Center at (585) 753-7780 (24 hours). I have passed along your concern, but they need to hear the complaint directly from you. Posting to this website may make you feel better in the short term, but it does not solve the problem--call them and complain to them! They will look at your problem, study it and give you an answer; but they can't fix what they don't know about. Again--They do not monitor this website.

Hello Tim, NYSDOT ! Dont know about the signs they have to replace over and over ? Dont know they put a stop ahead sign at the North end of Boyce and not the South where the signs always need replaced ? A simple call from me could inform the DOT about what they do or dont do !
A Genesee County Highway Superintendent wouldnt have the contact to those who I would need to seek out and play the " Oh ! You need to call this number game " Seems a stop ahead sign or 20' of guard rail is quite a task....A tax payer,voter will take on the duty of making our roads more safe....Thanks !

I received a reply from NYSDOT today regarding a study they performed at your intersection based on my contact with them. The study indicated that only two accidents have occurred at this intersection. One was due a driver falling asleep and the other due to high speed. The NYSDOT indicated that neither accident would have been stopped by a "Stop Ahead" warning sign and therefore one will not be posted.

Hi Tim, I thank you for your effort in this matter with the DOT contact. However they have flawed info,in the 2 yrs Ive owned the home 2 trucks have made there way into my yard. One just nose dived into the ditch which caused water flow problems for me from ruts and plowed mud. The second flew acrooss the ditch,took out a tree and left major lawn damage. Stop by, The hood emblem of a Ford is in the tree as a trophy. Just before our purchase another car jumped said ditch and proceeded 125' + and hit the rear south west corner of the garage that has yet to be fixed. I want to have it to show the danger we are in. My neighbor across the street laughed out loud when I told him of the DOT figures and assessment. I belong to the Sleds of Stafford snowmobile club and was told you are a fair man,so again Thanks. But I must move forward on this,the pictures show a real problem at hand. Small figures and driver error can not be the deciding factor in a very dangerous situation...John Kress

Mr Hens did contact DOT,the facts they have show no reason to install a Stop Ahead sign. Three multi ton projectiles into my yard with damage repaired by me to yard,trees and garage ( Not yet done ) which is 125' + from the road.
I wonder what would need to happen to my family or a anyone in the wrong place at the wrong time to warrant action to install a sign or a guard rail like the one that protects wetland at the North end Colby Rd.

Nothing has been done,North end has a sign ! Where nobody lives ( Dirt Bank ) yet it was said not enough reports to do anything about it . ( only 5 )
So with winter on its way,soon another car or truck will be in my yard,lets hope nobody dies due to the cost of a sign ! I will give all this info to the lawyer......

Nothing, even had troopers ask state an town. He could see my damage and danger ! Its nice you have this but no action... Time to call Al on ch4 news. Ice is coming, now people trespass to find stuff to get out of ditch. A few feet away they have a guard rail for a field , people don't count. Grand kids not allowed in front yard to pick apples. Darn shame we need to live like this !!
