Description
The curb-cut in front of the Arlo leading to the crosswalk crossing Trinity is blocked by a fire hydrant. The fire hydrant makes maneuvering a wheelchair or stroller impossible at this crosswalk. The fire hydrant needs to be relocated and preferably before the Arlo project is complete.

Some three feet of motoring right-of-way should be taken and a proper sidewalk installed. At present, some sections narrow to about 18 inches at the dozen, or so, utility poles planted smack in the sidewalk. An able-bodied walker is almost totally impeded in parts, so I can imagine how those in chairs or utility scooters must feel.
The city really needs to figure out if it is serious about non-motor transportation and actually change the lived landscape for those of us not motoring.

When GDOT completes the E. Trinity Pl street improvement project the crosswalk will be located near E. Howard Ave.
