Description

There is a large pothole on the southbound lane just before the entrance to the shell station. We drove over it last night in the rain and it gave us a flat tire. We pulled in to get diesel at the chevron right after hitting it and could hear air escaping the tire and watch it go flat.

It looks like this section of road has been repaired before, so this is may not be a new pothole.

We drove past it the other day and it is still there. Nothing has been done. I suspect that this is actually in Dixon. I will try to resubmit.

SCF just notified me that this has been up for 61 days. I wonder how many tires it has chewed up in that time. It has expanded a bit. No work appears to have been done. Again, I suspect it is actually in Dixon, but I couldn't get it to submit that way.

Still there a couple weeks ago. It is possible that this isn't getting to the city responsible for it. When I reported it SCF showed it in a different jurisdiction than the map. Or maybe they, who ever they are, don't pay attention to this.

Still there. When I reported this SCF was unclear which city it was actually in. I'm wondering if that's the reason it is not being handled. Or maybe that area is unincorporated. It is on a rural roads near the freeway. Still, someone is responsible for that stretch. Coltrane?

We passed by there a few weeks ago. Looked like it had been hastily patched and that had failed. It is larger than it was before.

Over 300 days. Drove past it Christmas Eve and it has spawned or something. It is at least four times the size it was when it took out our tire. It was never totally clear which city was responsible for it. SCF was unclear. I don't think any of this is getting to anyone who cares.

Awwww! It's birthday is coming up! I think we should name it. "Large pot hole" is probably the name of lots of pot holes out there. It needs something more distinctive. It is on Pedrick, so maybe the name should include that. Pedi?

Drove through recently. She's got grand children now. And the next rainy season is around the corner. As far as I can tell there's been one attempt to fill it in all this time.

Wow! 1621 days! SeeClickFix should add a tally of flat tires option. I wonder how many this hole has taken out. Last we were through there, in January, the hole was still alive and well, so I'm sure it's still chomping tires with enthusiasm.

1801 days! This almost seems like a time to celebrate. What a pothole it is! I've got confirmation that it's alive and well, still chomping tires and spawning baby potholes. Almost 5 years! We don't even have the car it attached anymore.

Another pothole on Pedrick was reported last week, and assigned to someone to fix last week. But here we are, almost 5 years later, and nothing happening. I haven't been by recently, but someone who lives nearby reports that she is alive and well. This pot hole may live for ever.

Over 2000 days. I wonder if this is a record. SeeClickFix sends me these enthusiastic sounding emails, like having an outstanding issue for 2011 days is a good thing. It is amusing at this point.

It was finally repaired last time I drive by. Who knows if the repair will survive the rains, or how long it will last, but it's nolonger my problem.
