The double standard is in full affect. Why do I have deal with the DMV, All the various tax's, fee's, parking restrictions, laws in general and these "people" do not. All the while they sit around with there hands out looking for free anything when they are not smoking, drinking, getting high or playing victim.
These people are breaking the law. This picture needs to be sent to the mayor. Is this how she stands on how Oakland should be. If it is ,she needs to go find another job.
Every week this situation has been getting worse. It's happening right behind a school Ralph bunche and across the street from EBMUD and half a block away from the beautifully renovated Defremery Park. We have worked so hard to clean up the neighborhood this is setting us way back.

Abby contact the Mayor. The more people who let her know she needs to do something, maybe she'll get a clue. Once an encampment starts they usually stay for months or in some cases years, and they usually come back. Just be persistent. Seems like Oakland is fixing up the parks for the homeless. They've taken over most of them and nothing is done. There are solutions , but Oakland needs a strong person to do it, and Libby is not that person.
Update -- Some stuff has been happening on Poplar. The police were at this scene today, and they towed one of the RVs. Some other RVs and the junk is still there. Down the block, the lady who manages the building actually confronted the two problem RVs there and told them the City is coming for them... they left! Now there's just a huge pile of trash there. Confrontation can yield results.
