31 Warren st very tired of all cars in driveway at all hours of night.Blue car rents the upstairs appt but many others also are there with out of state plates.Blue car has people smoking dope all hours of night and am tired of it. The police need to visit the owner who lives downstairs and ask him to evict the trash. They had a shooting last summer and my house is in the same area and want to be safe in my own home. Please help.

Investigating

I am assigning the narcotics unit in reference to the drug and prostitution complaints. We are currently working on a plan to do repeated prostitution stings in the area. Instead of doing one large operation we will be trying numerous smaller operations that we can be out there on a more regular basis and so we can keep it mobile so we can adjust locations depending on the amount of activity at a particular location. Please keep in mind that eliminating prostitution situation is no easy task and that this problem has existed along State Line since I joined the department 30 years ago. I do believe we can make the area less appealing for conducting this activity. We appreciate your patience and assure you that your complaints have not gone unnoticed. In the mean time we will continue the extra patrols and we ask that you continue to call 911 when you observe suspicious behavior. Remember 911 is not just for emergencies now so don't hesitate to call.
