How about taking the problem street light at 526/529 32nd ave n 33704, and put it where the light is out on 7th st....I have called about the obnoxious light shining in my bedroom windows, at 526 32nd ave n, no less than 4 times without results.

Please provide a status update. A truck pulled up to these lights yesterday and spent time but the lights are still not working properly.

The light across the street from726 32nd Ave N, is still out. There was a truck and workers there this week and they said they were there to fix the light. What is the next step to get this corrected?

Randy, my solution was to move the obnoxious light from the 526 32nd ave n location to the 726 32nd ave n location...there are plenty of yard lights on or near my home, and no reason to have the overly bright street light shining directly on my house (the pole is crooked). Good luck trying to get a resolution as it seems the city puts up the poles but Duke Energy owns the lights. I have been dealing with both and, so far, nothing has been done.

Hello Paula, while it is understandable that the light may be a nuisance to you your solution is highly unlikely. Putting up a window shade may alleviate your frustration. Overall, communities want street lights, that's why we have them. It was quite striking to have walked on halloween on the southside of 30th avenue where the streets were full of kids to then arrive back on 32nd avenue where it was dark and not a single kid came out onto the street.

I certainly realize that the solution is unlikely, but it would be nice. I have already spent more than I wanted to on room darkening blinds, but it's not really a perfect solution for someone who is very light sensitive and sleep deprived. The neighbor who lobbied to get the street light has since moved away and, since the light is buried in a tree and the lens is turned on our house, she would have reaped no benefit from it. There are plenty of motion sensitive lights and yard lighting along the 500-700 block of 32nd and it is not that dark. As I understand, the reason the kids don't hang out north of 30th ave, the Crescent Heights area is the place to be at Halloween.
