Description

Crossing over Lexington Ave to Nash Park between the streets Bergen Ave to Trimble Ave is extremely dangerous as cars rarely stop for the many pedestrians attempting to cross Lexington Ave via the faded crosswalks. The crosswalks should be repainted and there should be signs alerting drivers that it is NJ LAW TO STOP FOR PEDESTRIANS IN THE CROSSWALK. The reflective signs that many municipalities place IN the crosswalk between the two lanes of traffic would be extremely helpful as people come flying off Route 21 and speed past The Hot Grill and Nash Park. Last night (10/20/15) I was almost hit by a car as one lane of traffic stopped so I could cross, but the cars in the other lane did not stop or even slow down when I was in the middle of the intersection.
