Description
Neuse River Greenway bridge over Bridges Lake, just north of the Milburnie Park access point.
I've previously reported (back in April) that this bridge is vastly substandard compared to every other bridge along the Neuse River Greenway (or the Walnut Creek and Crabtree Creek greenways, for that matter). The wood is warped and irregular and broken in some places, making walking or riding on it a very unpleasant (and somewhat unsafe) experience. It's as as if the contractor used wood from an old barn.
A city of Raleigh staffer responded that the decking on this bridge was scheduled for replacement this year, but to date there's been no work done. It's already mid-October (and I doubt this is going to be done in December!), so is there a status update on the planned work?

I just rode my bike over this bridge on Sunday--it's worse than ever, as the current decking boards are continuing to warp and degrade, with some nail heads sticking up, just ready to puncture a tire or cause a walker/runner to trip.
Come on, City of Raleigh, what's with the delay on getting the long-promised re-decking done?

Should we have it renamed "SeeClickGetIgnored"?
I get tired of well meaning public citizens taking the time to report issues, only to get ignored.
Any kind of response/explanation is better than nothing at all.
