While unsightly, this window is secure. It is also part of a revitalization project that will see the entire building refreshed over the next few months. While I am closing the issue, the Village will be monitoring the project's completion - including this window replacement.

Yes I realize that now, in 2017 after it selling it is finally going to come into compliance. Unfortunately, I have been made aware we are a complaint driven Village when it comes to enforcement of any code enforcement laws. This is just 1 example of trying to show that documentation has been made (formal complaint) on the MANY properties that have not been enforced for years on end. I thank Greg for taking on such a large project and have absolute faith he will be in compliance. Now, we should focus on ones that have NO plans to renovate or do anything to like 59 S Main, and the 3 across from it (54, 56, 58?).

Definitely. As I've gotten up to speed on code enforcement there are several options. Our PMO has provided me a list just this week of locations and we are proceeding to notify the owners and develop a path toward compliance. Thank you for your vigilance.

Just as an update, the contractors have removed the windows and replaced with wood during the construction. We look forward to seeing new windows and finishes in the future.
