In response to the question "Can you clarify - 'not allowed' per what?" I spoke with the Wake Forest Police Department and was told that traffic cones may only be placed on town roads by either the WFPD or other town departments, and would be clearly identified with the initials of the agency placing them.

In addition, many of the cars parked on the road are too close to intersections and stop signs as per town ordinances.

@Wake Forest Engineering HM - the WFPD traffic-enforcement officer asked to have this information forwarded to him along with the photo; is this something you can do? Thank you!

I have assigned the issue to WFPD as well.

Upon inspection this morning there were no cones in the street. I will have patrol monitor the area for any other issues.
