One of the main reasons we want to sell our home. It wasn’t like this before the recharge plant. Sadly our complaints are falling on deaf ears.

Welcome to what the rest of us backing to the recharge have dealt with for 10 years. They unfortunately don’t care and probably can’t fix the problem. And honestly now that there are additional basins the problem is better. I still complain weekly and no result 😭

Thank you for your report about the midge flies. We understand and appreciate your frustration. Our staff are diligently switching the filling of the basins and applying multiple forms of larvicide. Unfortunately, this time of year, many of our Reuse water customers are not taking water and we are working on the repair of the broken berm in one of the basins. This puts the excess water in our recharge basins and changed the typical wet/dry rotation of the basins. Our fogging contractor has been scheduled to treat the adjacent neighborhood streets in addition to the routine fogging to assist with the midges.
