Description

West Side Ave at Fairmount Ave is a highly trafficked area by pedestrians. Bus routes often come through here to pick up at Bus Stop 21158; forcing traffic to slow as it merges from the intersection at West Side Ave/ Duncan Ave, heading north towards St Peter’s. Drivers often use Fairmount Ave as a “cut through,” speeding around stopped buses and endangering pedestrians at the cross walk.

There is no parking at the corners, drivers use the box to park to run errands in the neighborhood regardless, or to park overnight, reducing visibility.

Requesting a traffic study in the area to be performed on the corner to improve pedestrian safety and calm traffic.
