Hi Robert,

Our Homeless team has made contact with him several times this month, he has refused services from the city including shelter. This park is consider city property which makes it very difficult for us to physically remove him from the premises without opening ourselves up to a legal battle. We are hoping to continue to make contact with him in hopes that he will vacate the park. I will have our team make a visit today as well as tomorrow. Our goal is to post signage there this monday, letting him know we are cleaning that area up which should serve as a temporary removal.

We appreciate your patience on this issue while we let our process play out to protect us from a legal battle. We are hoping to have him off the property before the end of next week.

Fwiw he is frequently smoking next to playground which should be enough to remove him from the park.

Can you let me know if you all see him during the 7am- 5pm window or only at night? I haven't been able to locate him during the day?

It has been months since this issue has been opened and is still unresolved. He has been sleeping there consistently almost EVERY day. He still smokes cigarettes (flavored ones) in front of children. He still leaves trash behind when he leaves. Now he has upgraded to sleeping bags to make it a more permanent residence -- I don't understand how he cannot be removed for littering, smoking, and trespassing.

I see him every night when I walk my dog (not in the recent 2 weeks). He is peaceful and does not use drugs but he does smoke weed a lot. I tried to help him with clean clothing and food only once because I don’t want him to make it home here thinking he will get easy money and stuff from people. He is usually not around during the day but sometimes when he did it was very unpleasant to the children playing right next to him in the park if he is half dressed or smoking weed.
