Description

Off leash dogs on Eastern Prom

also asked...
Q. Please provide the name of the Park or Trail.
A. Eastern Promenade Trail
Q. Please provide additional information, that would be helpful in locating the problem area.
A. Every morning there are a number of people walking their dogs off leash on the Eastern Prom Trail. This is a trail used for cycling commuters, runners, people with strollers, people in wheelchairs and people walking their dog on leash. Dogs off leash are a danger to all the aforementioned groups. There are plenty of signs notifying people of the rules and even a map that helpfully points out designated off leash areas. A little enforcement by park rangers would go a long way in keeping trail users safe. A dog chased after me and tried to bite this morning on the trail.
