I can't speak for the originator of the issue, but my view is that the sign saying "No Right Turn on Red" should be placed directly on the light that controls the traffic trying to turn right onto Bridge St. from Boston St.
As you can see in the attached, drivers contemplating the right turn are faced with an array of confusing commercial and historical signage along with the necessary traffic signs. The "No Right Turn on Red" sign is inconspicuous in the middle of this mess, and would be much more effective if placed right on the pole with the red light itself.
There is a large and visible "No Right Turn on Red" sign placed further back on Boston St., but it is not visible to the drivers when they are actually making the decision.
Many out-of-town drivers follow Route 107 as it turns right here, and they need clear direction.
