Description

Metal basketball backboards make a horrendous noise echoing throughout the park and neighborhood anytime basketball is played. Last summer there were nearby performances nearly ruined by the noise (which would be mitigated by a simple standard backboard). The orchestra performances were also marked by the metallic "clang" which can be heard over the entire park and neighborhood. Switching these out for standard non-metal boards would be an easy fix
