This manhole cover sits a bone-jarring 2 inches below grade on this recently paved stretch of west Liberty I believe the inspection limit may be one inch or less

Unfortunately, this is a common problem in Ann Arbor for the last about 10 years. New roads that have manhole covers not flush with the asphalt pavement. And the city not requiring or not enforcing smooth roads. Besides wearing out suspensions sooner, it adds rolling resistance so is hurting A2 Zero desires. With all the traffic, this adds up.bsame with patches that aren't smooth with the existing pavement.n
