The noise is caused by some loose bolts on an expansion joint. I was told it does not pose a threat to the structural integrity of the bridge but is certainly an annoyance. The Public Works Department has been notified to address this. When I hear more on the status of the work order I will post again.

After Reporting this issue the noise seem to have stoped or the noise lessend, but after a few weeks I started hearing it again. Still not as bad as over the summer but getter worse again. If it is loose bolts I do not see why they cannot be tightened up.

I was told by John Thompson, the Town Engineer, that Public Works was given the work order to fix this. I received written confirmation. At this point, it is in P.W. Dir. Henry McCully's hands. I would suggest calling the mayor and asking for further action. I will make another call, as well.

I do not see this getting fixed until Spring. I will resubmit then.
