Description
Several layers of vandalism on 142 Church -- the very large graffiti is the most recent. One of multiple issues of vandalism on Marketplace buildings. More than covering (temporarily) with paint and rollers, this is a concern of civic pride (that has diminished).

Here’s another site of aerial graffiti, near South Union Street. It and 142 Church St. are perfect sites for deployment of surveillance cameras with closed circuit TV coverage.
The vandalism problem in BTV will only get worse until hard-core taggers are caught and taught the error of their destructive, disrespectful ways.

Agree with Downtown Bob.
Nothing will be done about the transformation of the Queen City into Graffiti City until street crime and vandalism is controlled in BTV.
First step; get the Progressives out of power. Start by voting out the current left-leaning State’s Attorney Sarah George on August 9, 2022.
If you care about the future of Burlington, read State’s Attorney candidate Ted Kenny’s position on law and order and vote for him in the Democratic Primary on August 9, 2022.

The transformation of the the once Queen City to Graffiti City continues unabated.
What will it take for people to stand up and say “Enough is Enough?”
I would like to suggest that concerned citizens form a group to campaign for improvement.
My suggestion: We need an energetic young attorney to step forward and lead the group. The city’s budget is $96 million/year. Surely with these funds, we can install security cameras at hotspots, form a police special task force, hire undercover officers to identify big time vandals, and insist that the states attorney hold responsible taggers accountable.
