Description
Sign on south fence of basketball court has six or eight 2 1/2" or so bolts which protrude through the fence into the playing area. This size bolt provides no extra value to the signage, but has caused puncture injuries to basketball players in the past. Another sign on the same fence uses shorter bolts, and presents no such hazard. Please replace with short bolts and cap or otherwise terminate.

I would ask that you consider that the sign does indeed occupy space in the playing area.
This is true for several reasons.
1) players regularly play a "no out of bounds" rule in some games, so the court boundary does not delineate the playing atea.
2) players frequently run to the fence to save a mosdire ted pass.
3). The bolts indeed have been a source of injuries in the past
Apparently their protruding length serves no function , whereas shorter bolts would resolve the hazard. The solution requires less than $5 in hardware.
Thank you for reviewing the request.
Sincerely,
Paul Anderson
