Public Works Admin assigned this issue to Engineering Division

Thank you for reporting this traffic signal/ lit crosswalk to the City of Dixon. The Engineering Department has been notified of the issue. The signal at S. 1st St. and Valley Glen is awaiting an energizing date from PG&E. The signals on W. A St. are awaiting completion of the roadway improvements currently underway. Today, once again, an individual southbound CA113 stopped at the intersection. I was stopped at the stop sign exiting Valley Glen. I did not proceed because I saw another southbound car fast approaching. The second car went around the first. Had I proceeded when the first car stopped, the second car would have likely hit me. This isn’t an uncommon occurrence. Kids crossing the street from the high school only add to this hazard. Please pressure PGE about this safety issue.
