Description
Wake Electric wants to chop down my beautiful old oak tree to uncover a street light that hasn't worked for years. The simple solution is to simply move the light to the nearby utility easement and save the tree. But Wake Electric simply wants to cut the tree down. Makes no sense to cut down a beautiful oak tree to expose an ugly street lamp, a lamp that's not really needed since there is no crime in the Old Mill Stream neighborhood. There are also no other streetlights along Barnford Mill Road in the development. I also have a terminal illness and one of my few joys is siting on my back deck looking at that tree. So move the light, and save the tree. Please!

No one seems to want to take responsibility on this issue. You say it's them, they say it's you.
I just want my tree saved. I don't give a darn about the light. Do away with it entirely for all I care. Hasn't worked in years, so don't understand why it's suddenly such an urgent issue.
Let the person who complained stick the light in their yard. Please reply or call me at 919-554-3145

Call Wake Electric (919-863-6300) and the Department of Public Works (919-435-9570) and tell them to stop mowing down trees for no good reason.
