Q. Please describe the issue.
A. This house sits on the south corner of Belcher Rd and 79th Ave. Because of a fence, RV, trees and other things this almost a blind corner when turning off Belcher onto 79th from s southernly direction. The problem is that the occupants habitually park a vehicle, either a white truck or white car, over the sidewalk at this corner, most likely because of the collection of belongings stored in front of the house. It becomes a safety hazard and should be reviewed by Code Enforcement because anyone trying to access the sidewalk along Belcher Road from the sidewalk in front of this house has to go out into the street in front of on coming turning traffic. This presents not only presents a possible vehicular pedestrian accident but also a pedestrian trip hazard when trying to cross the grass strip from sidewalk to road. It certainly negates the purpose of having ADA compliant sidewalks. In accordance with State Statute this complaint should be reviewed by the code enforcement office to verify validity of city violations and safety hazard.
