Description

Carl Schenn park is home to a beautiful playground and green space used for many community events. It is also a bus stop for kids going to school. This bustling location is unfortunately bordered by a busy street (12th Ave.). Drivers regularly speed past this park, well above the posted speed limit.
With kids crossing the street to get to the bus stop or go to the park, this creates a risk for a terrible incident to occur. Before something horrible happens action should be taken to notify drivers of this high traffic zone.
Either a crosswalk, speed reminder or other means of creating awareness should and needs to be implemented at this intersection.
Please pass this information on to other concerned bodies and incite the city of Humboldt to make a change that could save a life!
