Description
There is a very loud high-pitched noise coming from one of the air conditioning units at Highcroft Drive ES. This noise is so loud that I have to keep the music on in my house in order to drown it out. I don't want my kids to play in my backyard because I worry that it causes an ear problem. I stay at home, it has already developed a constant ringing in my ear. It's a health hazard and needs to be fixed.
According to Cary ordinance, it's Illegal when the noise is over 60 decibel. When I measured the sound level, the lowest noise level was 57 dB and the maximum noise level was 63 dB. The neighborhood has voiced the complaint with school system, but they ignored it, saying that they measured the sound level at under 60 dB.

The Town has been to the site and after taking three noise readings from the closest property lines to the school, we found that the decibel levels did not exceed 60 dB. We did speak with a representative from WCPSS who said they do plan to work with neighbors on a resolution. We hope both parties are able to come to a resolution.
FYI, you are in District 2 of our police department and the commander of that district is Captain Ken Quinlan, who can be reached at (919) 380-2132 or ken.quinlan@townofcary.org.

I contacted Police Department at Town of Cary to file a noise complaint. And, an officer (Josh Bonin) came to my house and measured the noise level. At 4pm on 17th of June, the officer measured the noise level twice on my back porch. The level was 62 dB.
I asked WCPSS to fix the issue because 62 dB is greater than the 60dB (A) limit noted in the Town of Cary Noise Ordinance.
But, I've not gotten any response back from WCPSS yet.
