  I often see similarly failed sidewalk sections where heavy, commercial vehicles or lots of cars cross sidewalks. Is this due to a lighter concrete grade generally used for sidewalks or to subgrade failures (or a combination) at these locations? As a preventative, can repairs/replacements take heavy/frequent vehicle crossings into consideration there?
