Scott Park Decatur GA 30030, United States - Decatur

Around lunchtime, and other times of day, various people go and they steal electricity from the city by plugging in their cell phones. The available access needs to be removed. This should no longer available to those who know the outlet is there by the garage for the city maintenance. Typically the un-housed. They also leave behind their trash. (Not all do, but many do).

Most recently, someone defecated near the park bench by the tennis courts, for my dog to eat it. This has also happened at Sycamore Park. I am so tired of the flagrant human waste that we the residents have to tolerate due to increasing unhoused populations. The numbers are increasing as is the impact they are having on sanitation and safety.

Note: a resident of the Arlo apartment complex said an unhoused person slept in the garage on the 6th floor with a machete.

This is not good. We need more cameras. Less loitering. And facilities away from the businesses downtown to help these people. Tourism to Decatur is important and these impressions do not help the businesses nor the residents.

  • 200 Ponce De Leon Place Decatur, Georgia - Decatur
Noisy trash collection outside of former Taziki restaurant at 5am several times a week on Ponce De Leon Pl. Residential apartments are right above the collection, loud enough to wake. This same issue was helpfully resolved at the end of 2017 (thank you!) (https://en.seeclickfix.com/issues/3904979-code-violations), but the problem has started again. Appreciate any help!

366 Greenwood Ave Decatur, GA, 30030, USA - Decatur
I went to the end of Greenwood Ave to see how issue ID: 15103423 had been addressed by the City of Decatur. The code violation post was "acknowledged" 4 months after the issue was reported and then "closed" 1.5 months after that by Decatur Public Works. Absolutely nothing has been done to address the issues, and it's a worse dumping ground in and around the creek than when it was reported 6.5 months ago. Why is issue ID: 15103423 closed?

Why are all the abandoned cars still at this intersection? The same officer from Decatur PD has been assigned over and over again to this problem but clearly hasn't been successful in making any change. Have they even visited the location and spoken with the owners at 222 Feld? These cars are clearly part of the unregistered junkyard they're operating.

The house has numerous wall of roof problems and has for several years. From the photo, you can see holes in the roof and the back wall collapsing. There is also a makeshift fence or wall made of junk and trash along the side of the property.

2700 E Ponce De Leon Ave Decatur, GA, 30030, USA - North Decatur
The area around construction on "The Notion" development project is extremely unsafe to west-bound drivers traveling in the right-most lane of E Ponce (and to pedestrians as well). The fence bordering the construction project is jutting well into the roadway and has been for weeks, and the gate to enter the construction site is frequently flung or blown open into the right lane of traffic. More than once lately, I've had to quickly change lanes to avoid hitting the fence and then quickly move back over to avoid the left turn-only lane on E Ponce just past the light. I've watched other drivers doing the same. Shouldn't this safety issue be addressed by the developer?
