Need a sewer manhole lowered for new construction
  • 8010 Tupelo Gum Trce Sw Huntsville, Alabama, 35802 - US Congressional District AL5
At 8010 Tupelo Gum Trace, a swimming pool has been installed in the backyard. The pool is currently full of water but there is no fence around it (not even any kind of temporary fence). This is a hazard for the neighborhood. Obviously, kids should not be trespassing on someone else's property, but you never know what could happen. Please do the right thing and make them put some kind of fencing around it. Thank you so much.

There is an orange sign that is in the road that recently damaged the trim on the side of the truck. It is still at the same location with metal hanging out the back of it.

Two issues with Sovereign Point development at the end of Piedmont: 1) There are nails and screws in the street. They are damaging our cars. 2) The port-o-potties are not being well maintained. The workers leave toilet paper rolls to blow around in the neighborhood. It is gross.

This house burnt in 2019 but the owner has not bothered to rebuild and actually lives out of state. The owner is also listed on builders permit. Do the permits expire? Is there anything that can be done to get rid of this eye sore that has not been touched in years?

Are builders allowed to leave large construction dumpsters on Huntsville city streets during construction? Wren Homes has multiple dumpsters on the street in the cul-de-sac of Highgrove Heights. No one has moved into the cul-de-sac yet but there are a lot of occupied homes on Highgrove Heights and the garbage trucks and mailman cannot utilize the cul-de-sac because of the dumpsters on the street there (in other words, it's difficult for them to turn around to be able to leave Highgrove Heights). The dumpsters are on the street because the lots are small, but it seems like the builder could have multiple mini dumpsters on the construction site instead of having them in the street. Highgrove Heights is off Old Railroad Bed Road near the corner of Old Railroad Bed and Nick Davis Road. This neighborhood has been annexed into Huntsville city limits.

At night, there is an area of the neighborhood where there is no light, there is no visibility there and it is a concern. A potential unknown or dangerous person, vehicle, animal, etc. could be in this part of the street and be hidden from sight due to the lack of light. Me and the neighbors that are affected by this would like to request that a street light be placed at its location. There is one street light near the circle at the end of the road that I think would work perfectly. The height of it would fit well under the tree branches extending outward, similar to the other street light. It provides light to the road but not necessarily into the homes. I would like to add to the request a preference that it not be too bright, and that it simply serve the purpose of providing visibility to the road for safety concerns as we have had several concerning situations and unlawful activity happen on this street and around the specific area. The location of the requested light is located directly across from the driveway at 2407 Basin St. SE, Huntsville, AL, where the tree is.

This home has been under construction for more than 3 years. It doesn't seem safe and I'm curious if their permits are still even valid.
