  • Barn Ln & Eastern Ave Gloucester, MA, 01930, USA - Gloucester
The new fence at the corner of Barn Lane does not meet the setback or height requirements in the Town Bylaws (lower than 6ft or set back 20 feet). This creates a dangerous traffic area when turning out of Barn Lane onto Eastern Avenue. The property owner should abide by the bylaw.

    Tony'S Groc Store - Gloucester
This photo shows a small amount of the profuse amount of trash on the property of Tony’s Variety. The entire lot is strewn with trash of all kinds. Tough to pass every day. It’s private property but given that it’s a business used by the public, perhaps it’s a Board of Health concern. Thanks for your attention to this post.

This property was sub-divided and is in the process of adding 2 duplex homes now,and 2 more on completion of phase I.In the past I have had several issues with sink holes ! The massive removal of 1 1/2 acres
of mature trees plus 5 weeks of blasting of ledge which had to impact the water table! I have noted to contractor the examples of the use of pond that's in back of homes on Orchard Rd and Ledge Rd.

This homeowner is razing the current charming home built in the 1920’s at 31 Winthrop Ave in West Gloucester. In this development is a plan to remove all the mature Eastern White Pine to put in a lawn. This is being developed directly abutting the salt marsh on a sloping grade.

We are very concerned about the many environmental impacts, most of all directly involving an endangered species. We in West Gloucester all know and love our nesting resident bald eagles. They are literally down the road from us and frequently hunt from this very tree that is on the chopping block from this homeowner building a new house.

There is several mature white pines on the property that are now flagged for removal. All these gorgeous white pines are in good health and the one on the marsh is favored by the bald eagles for hunting.

We are now in discussions with the Conservation Commission and attended a Zoom meeting addressing our concerns about destroying the habitat of an endangered species.

They are flagged as we speak and hope we don’t awake to the sounds of chainsaws destroying this direct habitat for our bald eagles.

This is still an active issue going back for years, I'm not sure why was asked to repost, I'd the city agent came by property, she could see for herself. Yard looks like an industrial dump, rodent issues from tenant there over feeding birds, trash everywhere. Storage units with junk piled on them. Car parts strewn about.

I'm hoping your dept. can do something about 605 Western Ave. It's been abandoned for years and has health concerns, failed septic tank and cesspool failure with giant red X's on the building. These buildings are a fire hazard and have major safety issues. I've recently seen teen agers over there, dumping garbage and walking around the property. Someone is going to get hurt. Please contact the owner. Not sure why these haven't been torn down years ago...plus they're an eyesore every time you drive down that street.
