I'm reaching out because some neighbors and I along S Union near the Shelburne St rotary have noticed a number of vehicles traveling at a relatively high speed in the area (reaching around 40+mph) and often blowing through the stop sign at the intersection of S Union & Howard. It's hard to tell if this is a consequence of the new road structure with the rotary, and while there is definitely one or two primary bad actors, the issue of speed seems to be an across-the-board increase.

I know that in the past, our street had monitoring tubes - so this probably isn't fully new information. I was wondering if DPW would be able to sponsor the use of one or two modular/deployable rubber speed humps to manage speed coming into this stretch of the road, and just before the stop sign as a test or placeholder for a more permanent road safety improvement.

A speed hump is desperately needed on Sunset Dr. In Burlington between Venus and Sky, people drive way too fast and a few wild animals and pets have been hurt or killed. Please help the situation, thank you so much.

Good start with cones for buses After two years, why have the metered spaces, east and west of bhs entrance NOT been converted to handicapped parking? Instead what happens is that parents park and pick up their abled body child See 3rd photo There are no places for parents or school vans to pick up children with handicaps

Customer called and stated there needs to be signage before the speed bumps to make people aware they are there, or need to put some yellow paint down just before the bumps to make people aware, cars can be damaged. Please look into signage

  • Ethan Allen Pkwy & Farrington Pkwy Burlington, VT, 05408, USA - Burlington Electric

    Hello,

During school pick-up times, the line of parents parking obstructs the view of anyone trying to safely navigate the intersection at Farrington PKWY and Ethan Allen Pkwy.

The parents will park right up to the intersection and their vehicles obstruct the view of anyone at the intersection.

Please reevaluate the parking allowances on Ethan Allen Parkway.

The excess of people parking and circling the block looking for parking in this area creates dangerous situations for anyone outside of a car or using that intersection.

    Thank you for your time,
    Brad

  • 35 Strong St Burlington VT 05401, United States - Burlington Electric
Could you do a parking study/turning angle study on Strong St? It's really tight with parking allowed on both sides of the street. Not only is it difficult to get in or out of driveways but I've seen the recycling truck not make it through and the snow plow usually doesn't come down the street, I'm guessing because of the tightness with cars parked on both sides. ,
