    Potentially abandoned vehicle since at least July 2021 on street side parking. Plates expired in 05/2022. Accumulated storm debris by the tires indicates that it has not been moved in a very long time. I've never seen it change location on this busy street side parking location. I don't know the registered owner of the vehicle, but perhaps a wellness check may be a good idea if it's a local resident.

    A very long fence was installed yesterday or over this past weekend in front of these apartments, located in Chapel Hill's renowned Historic District. Was prior permission obtained from the Historic District Commission before this fence went up? No "Z" sign was posted in front of the property.

    I was visiting a friend at the end of the street and can only say the parking on the street is extremely dangerous for drivers and pedestrians. There are blind curves, so as you navigate the single lane ( as the right lane is all parked cars ) it will only take 1 vehicle coming the opposite direction to cause a head on collision....thus opening the town to litigation as this is a known Hazzard! Pedestrians are also not safe....no sidewalks ! I urge town employees to drive to the end of this road...turn around, head out...at different times of the day...and not during school breaks to truly understand the issue. Id also wonder how a fire truck or ambulance is able to get to the end of this road, and then get turned around ?
