    Is it true that Chapel Hill no longer provides parking permit stickers for cars authorized to park on the street? If this is true, how are neighbors to know which cars parked on their streets are authorized to be parked there, and which are not?

    Will the Town provide lists of authorized on-street parking permits for specific addresses requested by neighbors? If yes, how can these be obtained? (And if not, why not?)

    I've spoken to several people, including the former and current Head of Parking. I've been told the Fire Marshal agrees. And, I used CH Public Transit after surgery recently. Carver Street is NOT a two lane road. It's actually dangerous when it's full of parked cars on one side. Emergency vehicles cannot get through. There is no sidewalk. I cannot walk my dogs safely. I would like to see permit parking only, and only parking for those without driveways.
