Notified About

  • 1700 Monument Ave Richmond, VA 23220, USA - The Fan

Larger signs are needed to make traffic yield at the monument. Cars travel too fast down Monument Ave at this intersection. Two pedestrians were hit and injured yesterday while trying to cross the street. A crossing guard is needed for Orchard House School on Allen Ave.

  • 2900 Monument Avenue Richmond, VA - The Museum District

On Sunday mornings, churchgoers are permitted to park along the Monument Avenue median on the immediate blocks east and west of the Boulevard. When Monument Ave was repaved 18-24 months ago, the block between Boulevard and Sheppard St. was incorrectly re-striped. Though the street is wide enough to accommodate cars parked along interior and exterior medians as well as all four lanes of traffic, the pavement markings were incorrectly replaced. The problem is that when cars are parked on Sunday mornings, two lanes are forced to merge into one as they approach the Boulevard. I have seen several near-fender benders as a result. The lanes simply need to be re-striped to what they originally were before the recent re-surfacing took place.

  • 202 Strawberry Street Richmond, VA - The Fan

Just pulled into the alley behind the 200 block of Strawberry St. between Grove and Hanover and a woman with a backpack and sleeping bag was sitting in the alley by the garages. She looked out of it and we asked her to move on. We have found whippets and lighters for the past several weeks. We'd like for the police to patrol these areas at night to see what is going on here. Thanks for your help.

  • Thompson And Floyd Richmond, VA - Carytown

The South East corner of Thompson and Floyd (separated from the Post Office by a parking lot) has become a junk yard with trash, old cars, bicycles, death plants and furniture in the yard. It is a total eye sore and needs to be cleaned up. I have reported the situation to the city several times, but nothing is done.

  • 1600 Monument Ave Richmond, VA - The Fan

    Good Afternoon,

There is a large pothole at the entrance to the alleyway behind the Stuart Court apartment building at 1600 Monument Ave. Again, the pot hole is at the entrance to the alleyway. The pothole is large and fills up with water, which will then freeze when it gets cold enough.

  • 3301 Floyd Avenue Richmond, VA - The Museum District

Excessive speeding on Floyd Ave between the traffic light at Nansemond and the traffic light at Belmont is causing many vehicles to disregard the 4 way stop sign at Floyd and Dooley. This is a major safety concern for residents in the area as well as pedestrians. Additional police presence or installation of cameras or stop lights would be helpful.

  • 401-499 North Nansemond Street Richmond, VA - The Museum District

I have seen several accidents and near-accidents at the intersection of Kensington Ave & N. Nansemond St.

Northbound and Southbound motorists on Nansemond often believe that this is a 4-way stop and proceed across in front of traffic on Kensington.

Signage needs to be installed below stop signs on Nansemond to advise Northbound and Southbound motorists CROSS TRAFFIC DOES NOT STOP.

  • 113 S Mulberry St Richmond, VA - The Fan

The alley (behind Cary Street Cafe) leading to the parking lot is full of several large potholes.

This is a real danger to any non SUVs using the lot.

One blocks the entire alley and is too wide to drive over or around requiring cards to drop into a 6 inch trench. 113 S Mulberry street,Richmond,VA
