These homeless RVs have been parking there for years and they also built a fence blocking the sidewalk. The wheelchair residents and seniors have to walk on the road to get around those RVs. This is risking the residents' lives. Where is our human right as the good taxpayers and residents.

Why is the E12th Encampment still here? Would like someone responsible to answer this question. It has been closed at least 6 times in the last 3 years. https://data.oaklandca.gov/en/dataset/GM-Edit-0613/wzqt-2nbs What can the neighbors and businesses do to completely close down this encampment? Lao Family Foundation had helped rehome many dwellers here. Where is the data from their foundation on the rehoming project millions of dollars went to?

This encampment has grown and is impassable. 2 weeks ago Homeless Outreach was there and a path was cleared but it everything was put back blocking the sidewalk the minute Outreach left. There used to be a porta-toilet next to Clinton Park but its gone now. Maybe that was just for the workers at Clinton Park Rec Area? Instead, feces in diaper bags are littered throughout, my property has human feces on the sidewalk at least once a week, my residents and I have been attacked by dogs trying to navigate the block where most of our shopping is, etc.

Is the city going to do something with these illegal homeless encampments in the neighborhood. If the city or the elected officials can not do the job, just close down the government and all the elected officials resign. Return the power to the neighborhood residents to take care their community.

Out of an abundance of caution and concern involving the current situation existing between 8th and 10th on 5th Ave. where the sidewalk is obstructed and impassable. The owners of several RV’s and a large storage bin have created barriers at two points that restrict the free travel of pedestrians utilizing the sidewalk. To travers that area a person must either cross the street or walk in the street until they get passed the areas that are blocked. This is dangerous for several reasons:
    • The current situation forces pedestrians to walk into the street to face bicycle traffic and vehicular traffic.
    • Pedestrians can walk through the areas that are restricted however the individuals who possess these items are extremely paranoid and protective of these things and anyone going near them will be perceived as a threat. Even I, being a part of the security structure at Peralta had to endure threats and warnings from those folks as they thought I was going to remove their belongings from the sidewalk.
    • There’s an abundance of safety hazards that exist within this area, broken bottles, sharp objects, electrical cords that adorn the side of multiple campers, sharing power from makeshift generating units.

We the people that live in this area are sick and tired of these homeless people parking there cars right up against our window, selling drugs on this street and overdosing constantly, starting illegal fires that could burn the whole block down, and lastly causing businesses in this area to go down under, lose customers, and cause this area to feel extremely dangerous. We are also sick and tired of the mother and daughter duo and there whole posey that sit outside our house. They think it's cool to hang there stuff on our windows, trash the whole street, graffiti our business and walls, and lastly they think they run this block and bring all the unwanted homeless population to this area. Every night they are obnoxiously loud and the daughter always start drama with people on the streets making it very unsafe for us and this whole community. Honestly we can't stand it anymore! They need to go like the rest of the homeless in this area that think this is a rent free area that they can infest. We just want this area to be safe again for our kids, family, and businesses. We've filed countless of complaints but the city of Oakland continue to turn a blind eye and let these people disturb the peace and safety of this community. Change needs to happent
