  • 355-411 Saint Albans Drive Raleigh, North Carolina - Six Forks Corridor
The recently applied parking lane markings on St. Albans appear to be too narrow as construction workers are presently parking on this street and many of their vehicles are over the line.
  • 4401 Old Village Road Raleigh, North Carolina - Six Forks
Since the city has created a parking lane at North Hills drive and Old Village Road, vehicles are now parked there were they have never parked before and this creating a hazard due to not being able to see traffic coming down North Hills.
  • 1835 North Hills Drive Raleigh, North Carolina - Six Forks
This road has recently been re-marked due to bike lanes and it is my opinion the double yellow lines have been moved too close to the parking lane side of the street. I notice myself and other crossing the double yellow to stay clear of parked vehicles.
  • Green Road Raleigh, North Carolina - Raleigh Council District B
Left turn arrow comes on when no traffic is present for north bound lane.
  • 105 Dartmouth Road Raleigh, North Carolina - Falls Of Neuse
I have noticed this for several days now. This morning the light was green for Dartmouth for 25 seconds with no traffic present and green for St. Albans for 7 seconds with traffic present. This is at least the third time I have had to report this light malfunctioning. I do not understand why this light reverts to favoring Dartmouth instead of St. Albans where all the traffic actually is.
  • 4201-4299 Lassiter Mill Road Raleigh, North Carolina - Six Forks Corridor
Road was just paved and re-marked and heading west on Lassiter Mill road the road suddenly without warning goes from two lanes to one because of the new bike lane marking. This will cause accidents.

4822 North Hills Drive Raleigh, North Carolina - Six Forks
This home has been vacant for some time and city had a deadline of 7/2/2015 for the owner to do something and still nothing has been done.
  • 4401-4455 Old Wake Forest Road Raleigh North Carolina , Raleigh, North Carolina - Falls Of Neuse
I first reported on 6/22/2015 that the crossing signals for pedestrians were covered. I was told in my previous ticket that these were covered until crossing lines were painted. I see people everyday trying to cross here and because the signals are covered, pedestrians do not know when to cross. This is extremely dangerous. These signals work so why are they covered?
  • 4401-4455 Old Wake Forest Road Raleigh, North Carolina - Falls Of Neuse
I previously reported this because the crossing signals have all been covered. The response from the city was that these were not ready to be put in use, however, they were previously working and I do not see any sort of construction or work going on here. What I do see is people having a difficult time crossing these roads on foot. This is very dangerous. What exactly is being done at this intersection?
  • 4425 Falls Of Neuse Road Raleigh, North Carolina - Falls Of Neuse
Black flaps have been installed that cover all crossing signals making this dangerous for foot traffic. Why has this been put there?
  • 2000 New Hope Church Road Raleigh, North Carolina - Falls Of Neuse
I'm posting in this category because no others are appropriate. at the intersection of St. Albans and New hope Church if you are driving towards Wake Forest Rd. there is no legal way to make a left turn onto St. Albans. There is a median that needs to be removed and replaced with a left turn lane. People are forced to either make a U- turn or cut through a business parking lot in order to get onto St. Albans. I can see no logic behind this median being there. Also, I do not want to hear that this is because too many cars would be turning left and traffic might back up onto the railroad tracks. That's baloney. This needs to be corrected immediately.

Birchwood Garden Apartments - Area by the dumpster has garbage all around the dumpster. The entire area needs attention. I would contact the apartments myself, but I cannot find a phone listing.
  • 2112 North Hills Raleigh, North Carolina - Six Forks
There are numerous large downed pine branches on the sidewalk.
  • 6201 Glenwood Avenue Raleigh, North Carolina - Northwest
Heading east, the turn arrow comes on when no traffic is present to turn into the shopping center.
  • Currituck Drive Raleigh, North Carolina - Six Forks
Just a little observation for those folks living on Currituck. Once the city installs the median devices, you will no longer be able to street park where those devices are present. Also, let's not forget that the city will install, all over Currituck, no parking signs along the sides. What a swell way to beautify the neighborhood.
  • Town And Country Raleigh, North Carolina - Raleigh Council District A
Attention all Raleigh residents who use Town and Country road. The City has marked this road with paint to layout traffic calming devices that they intend to install. There are some issues with this design that need to be revealed. At the intersection of Town and Country a median has been planned that is going to make the right turn off of Millbrook dangerous because of the sharp angle of the turn and because of the natural gas pipes that are above ground at this intersection just off the right on Town and Country. On the other end of Town and Country there is presently a turn lane for people turning left into the apartments that the city is going to eliminate entirely with a median. This will, on the first day, cause traffic to back up onto Lead Mine road. There is also a plan to install an around about where Kingsley intersects Town and Country. For the folks living on Town and Country who requested this, I predict you will all want this removed within 30 days because of problems you will have accessing your property. The speed limit is already 30 and the city cannot lower the speed any further due to traffic volume so it seems to me the city is attempting to disregard the law by installing traffic calming devices. Traffic calming will not decrease the traffic volume on this road because it is a convenient short cut to Millbrook. If city wants to spend money on this road, it should be spent on resurfacing.
  • Currtuck Raleigh, North Carolina - Six Forks
Driving down Currituck road yesterday I noticed road markings for what appears to be traffic calming devices. What is strikingly obvious to me is that this is about to become the most dangerous road in North Hills. Placing obstacles in the road, especially on a hill, is going to cost someone their life. Similar traffic calming devices are in place on Reedy Creek road just off of Edwards Mill road. Where the center islands exists, drivers are running off the road and into the grass. The ruts are clearly visible.
The petition process for this, as with the petitions for other traffic calming projects, was not done in the best interest of the citizens in the neighborhoods. The petition signatures have been suspect, people on adjoining streets were not notified of the meetings, and there is no record of signatures of people opposed to the project. Further, there is no evidence of a speeding problem. The city placed a counter on Currituck for a 24 hour period and determined from that a speeding problem existed. The real issue all over Raleigh is not speeding, but rather increased traffic because of the growth of the city. One of the problems with forcing people to drive slower is it gives them more opportunity to send text messages or check email. Both are much more dangerous than driving five miles per hour over the speed limit.
The city has hired people to run this traffic calming program and they have to find something to do and this is the result. I am very annoyed in the continued waste of my tax dollars on this program. I am also frustrated to no end that the city council refuses to acknowledge the opposition to this program.
  • 2001-2199 North Hills Drive Raleigh, North Carolina - Six Forks
A yellow metal post used to block vehicles from entering the greenway has been moved leaving a dangerous pothole at the entrance to the greenway.
  • Millbrook And Leesville Raleigh, North Carolina - Northwest
Yesterday around 4PM I was at this intersection on Leesville waiting to turn left onto Millbrook. There were about 12 cars also waiting for the light to turn and there was a single car at Wooten park waiting to get out. The light turned green for the car in the park first thereby holding a dozen cars idling. Logic would dictate that you would want to get the most vehicles clear of the intersection quickly rather than having the cars sit idling and polluting. To me this seems just backwards and would love to hear the reasoning for this. This is also the case at numerous other intersections in Raleigh.
  • Dartmouth And St. Albans Raleigh, North Carolina - Falls Of Neuse
The light at this intersection favors Dartmouth by going back to green for Dartmouth after a green light for St. Albans. This configuration is just backwards of how it should be programmed. The green for St. Albans is too short and causes traffic to wait for the next green cycle while many times there is no traffic on Dartmouth.
