speed has been reduced from 60km to 50km/hr on Bayview between Yorkmills & Sheppard long ago. The 60km sign in southbound Baybiew south of Sheppard just before 401 is still left there.

On Weekends, the state agents place multiple "Open House" signs in this location. These signs block the view of drivers who are turning west on York Mills from Old Yonge.
  • 78 Wilson Avenue Toronto, Ontario - Toronto
It is several months that two lanes of Wilson Avenue (west of Yonge Street) over the bridge is closed for some road work.
I pass this location everyday and most of the time there are no construction personel working there at all. Few hours per week there are very few workers there and then for many days it is just deserted and nothing is being done.
Wilson Avenue is a main street and trafic is deeply affected by this slow moving and never ending road works. Which city department is responsible to check the progress of this project? Why nobody is resposible to make sure that the job is done on time? isn't there a contract time schedule? Who overseas the payments to this contractor?
  • 1740 Avenue Road Toronto, Ontario - Toronto
There was a beautiful old tree in St Germain Street at corner of Avenue Road adjacent to Starbucks outdoor sitting area. Customers used to enjoy sitting under the shade of it and enjoy their coffee. All of a sudden around two years ago, this tree was cut from ground level while there was no sign of any problem with it. We were surprised and sad but gradually the offshoots started to grow to nearly 6 feet giving us some shade and hope that they will replace the old tree. Suddenly few weeks ago we noticed that all the offshoots were cut from ground level!!!! ......Is there any reason for this? Who is responsible ?

  • 444 St Germain Ave North York, ON M5M 1X1, Canada - Toronto

Cars entering Avenue Road from St Germaine Avenue do not have a clear view of south bound traffic on Avenue Road. This is mainly due to location of the grey post office box located in front of "Antique Door Hardware Store". The cars have to move forward in the path of southbound Avenue Road traffic to see that traffic. In many occasions as they see that there is traffic coming south, then they back up to clear the front of their car. Many times pedestrians have started to cross St Germaine behind this car which had no choice but to back up. This a dangerous situation.

Update : 20-Dec-2012: No action taken yet. Seems no one is interested until something bad happens ( i hope it doesn't ).
