This area is a mine field. Recently there were some repairs done but, no where near done. This section nearly tossed my off my motorcycle, last week.

  • 1244 Robert St S. West Saint Paul, Minnesota - West St. Paul
The garbage can on the corner has been overfull for over a week. Someone needs to empty it more often!

  • Traffic Signals Acknowledged
324 Wabasha St N St Paul, Minnesota - Downtown
Walk sign is pointed Northeast, instead of North. Cannot see signal walking South on Wabasha.
  • Damaged Sidewalk Acknowledged
    10th And Wabasha - Downtown
NW corner has this hole. As I was waiting at the corner, a bicyclist rode up the ramp and I felt it move! Looked down and saw this hole. It is washed out and more than a foot deep! I am afraid that someone could be hurt when this gives way. Please check this out, quickly. Before the inevitable happens!
  • 46 E 4th Street Saint Paul, Minnesota - Downtown

The crossing on 4th and Minnesota has a beep signal, like nearly all crosswalks in Saint Paul. This one is unusually loud.

So loud, in fact, I, and others in the building, can hear it, a block away! My apartment is facing Cedar, around the corner from 4th, and I can still hear it, even with the AC on!

Please, PLEASE, turn the incessant beeper down! I would get a ticket for making so much noise!! I am aware that this is a busy crossing, Busses, Train and Traffic. However, I believe the beepers are for the benefit of the Blind, and I am all for that but, this one seems to be set up for the Deaf!!

    Thank you.

There are four trees between Saint Paul Ave. and Alton on the North side of the street. Jiffy Lube has a sign in Front of their Business there and it is nearly completely hidden by these trees.

I will upload a photo tomorrow, as evidence.

Once you see them, you will realize they need to be trimmed.

  • Collecting Water... Acknowledged
E 7th St And Olive Ave. St. Paul, MN - Dayton's Bluff

Every time it rains, or snow melts, this low spot collects a large pool of water, near the curb. I ride my bicycle, or walk, by this section nearly seven days a week. Have been for over five years. This area used to just be a large-ish puddle, now it is a small lake.

The problem is that it has grown out into the traffic lane and cars, trucks and buses cannot now miss it, resulting in a large plume of water cascading across the sidewalk. As a pedestrian, one has to time the walk past this spot, with traffic, or will be soaked! Just this morning I waited a full 2 minutes for an opening in traffic, just to walk the fifteen foot gauntlet, quickly, and avoid the wave of water.

It has, now, grown far enough to include a low lying manhole cover, in the middle of the lane. So, even if traffic is light and a motorist attempts to move over and not splash you, they can still inadvertently send a splash to the sidewalk!

I sincerely hope this can be corrected before Winter. Being splashed in the winter cold can be very detrimental to one's health. I know.

  • 401-433 Lafayette Road Saint Paul, Minnesota - Dayton's Bluff
This section of road is getting worse and worse. I ride a bicycle and the holes and gaps and sharp elevation changes, between the slabs, is jarring at best. Dangerous, at worst. This spring I was tossed off my bike into the middle of the traffic lanes! I was extremely lucky not to have killed!
  • Shepard Road Saint Paul, Minnesota - West 7th
From Randolph to 35E. This section has become BRUTAL to ride on. Last summer it was just the section east of Otto, with the heaved pavement, that one had to be aware of. This summer? Much, much, worse along this whole stretch. I would guess it averages, about, every three feet, for around a mile, that one is pounded by the cracks in the path.
  • 1326 Randolph Ave St Paul, MN - Highland
I rode Randolph south, down the hill, yesterday, on my bicycle. It was dangerous and some of the holes, in the road, were life threatening. Last fall was bad. This is dangerously bad! Randolph from Hamline to 7th street needs a serious overhaul!
  • South Robert Street St Paul, MN - West St. Paul
I rode my bicycle from Marie to George, travelling North, on Robert. Lot's of holes along the shoulder and some major bumps, a couple nearly tossed me off my bicycle. I've been riding this area for over a month, Robert Street is the worst of the roads I've been on.
  • 262 Maryland Ave E St Paul, MN - North End
Traveling westbound on Maryland, turning left onto 35E South. The left turn signal above Maryland Ave. is burnt out. The signal on the left, near the entrance ramp, is still functional.
  • 888-900 N Mississippi St St Paul, MN 55130, USA - Payne Phalen
The entrance to the Gateway Trail, that goes under the 35E bridge is littered with broken glass. I ride this regularly and have had to replace a tube due to a flat. I have seen another rider doing the same up the Trail that ran through that glass.
  • 1156-1206 Fort Rd St Paul, MN 55102, USA - West 7th
Two lights, on either side of street, on this block need repairs. It's a complete waste of money to cycle these lights on every three minutes, or so.
