Trail is covered in mud on the first curve after Milburnie. The mud is difficult to spot, and its location on a curve is extremely treacherous for bikes. Even though I was going slowly, I still wiped out.

Additional white blazes are needed on the Honeycutt Trail Greenway (footpath), about 1/2 mile from the Raven Ridge entrance. The trail passes through an open area before coming to a very steep slope, but there isn't any indication where to go down the slope. It's steep enough that someone could easily be injured if they took the wrong approach.

The boards on the bridge over Bridges Lake are really uneven. Biking over this bridge is an incredibly rough ride. The rest of the trail is beautiful and smooth and a joy to ride on - it's a shame that this bridge doesn't live up to the high standards of the rest of the trail. This bridge needs to be smoothed out!

A tree has fallen on the bank next to the Neuse River Trail. Although the tree trunk isn't blocking the greenway, the branches are head-high for a cyclist heading south. Because of the position of the tree on the trail (at the top of a short slope), it would be very easy for a cyclist to run into the branches before they even realized they were there.
  • 11045-11089 Strickland Road Raleigh, North Carolina - North
Traffic light to turn left from westbound Strickland to southbound Creedmoor is way too short. It consistently only lets 5 cars through, even if there are many more than that. It needs to be extended, at least at rush hour.

  • 2000-2098 Raleigh Boulevard Raleigh, NC 27604, USA - East Raleigh
On the greenway just east of Raleigh Blvd. a mount for a vehicular access block is mounted in the greenway. There is no post, and the mount blends in with the greenway, so it is very difficult to see. This is extremely dangerous to bikers, who could easily hit it without noticing and do serious damage to their bike. Either a post needs to be mounted or the obstacle removed. At the very least, paint it yellow so everyone can see it !

Greenway bridge over Bridges Lake (near Crag Burn Ln) is extremely rough and difficult to bike over. A few boards have been replaced, but many more appear to be rotting.
