  • Walnut Creek Trail Raleigh, North Carolina - Southeast

I just wanted to share how excited I am that the Walnut Creek trail is now paved all of the way to the Neuse River Trail. The "miles of trail" metric falls short, but this type of effort toward an interconnected trail system is truly making Raleigh a healthy place to live.

If any of the school kids don't die on the walk along Sunnybrook/Rock Quarry, I'm sure they will really enjoy the trail too. (I had to sneak in a complaint so that this would be fair use of the complaint system)

I look forward to seeing you on the beautiful trail!

The stoplights on westbound Rock Quarry road are obstructed by vegetation at both the Creech and Sanderford intersections. This prevents adequate reaction time.
  • Raleigh Beltline Raleigh, North Carolina - South

There is a 55mph speed limit on the West-bound Rock Quarry -> 40 ramp, immediately followed by a 65mph speed limit on hwy 40.

Similarly, near the "East" (South) -bound 440-264 interchange there is a 55mph limit immediately followed by a 60mph limit.

    What are the intended limits?

This site is great; thank you for listening!

As of about 6 weeks ago, the timing of the stoplight by the Rock Quarry Burger King seems to have been changed such that there is a constant backup of southbound Rock Quarry traffic on weekday evenings. Therefore, the eastbound hwy 40 ramp cannot clear like it used to, and we are sitting ducks in the 70 mph traffic. Please give some priority back to where the volume comes from.
