  • 804 Royal Avenue New Westminster, British Columbia - New Westminster
A year ago I pointed out that there were NO litercans on Royal avenue at all. I was informed "The City will install some litter cans along Royal Avenue in key locations.2016-03-14"
There are now a total of 2 littercans on the 2 kilometer length of Royal Avenue. There need to be more.

When last I reported the ongoing issues with businesses on this street essentially using it as a parking lot / dump for unlicensed 'cars' I was told "we will be working with multiple city departments in an effort to resolve these issues." Given that there we over 20 such cars on the street today including the one pictured below that has not moved since, I'm unsure of how one could call this progress. I realize that things take time but the first time i reported this was 2014-09-18 and I have drawn the city's attention to it several times since.
  • 1032 Quebec St New Westminster, British Columbia - New Westminster
I have repeatedly reported that the businesses here routinely pile garbage at the sides of the street and all but block it with uninsured cars. They park them along the sides and in the middle of the street. They treat it as if it's their own parking lot. I realize that this is an industrial area but the way they operate is ridiculous. Even some folks from the city are afraid to patrol it due to the way the businesses behave. The question THE CITY EMPLOYEES asked is relevant "Why hasn't the city pulled their licenses? This never stops." You don't see this kind of thing on the other side of Stewardson so why is it ok hear for years on end? What's the point of this system if nothing systemic is done? EVERY day and night there are cars parked illegally here and MOST days there is industrial waste. Get serious or stop the charade and declare it a parking lot / dump.

  • 735 Royal Avenue New Westminster, British Columbia - New Westminster
I find it amazing that one can walk the entire 2km length of Royal now without encountering a single place to put litter. The use to be one just downhill about 4 steps from royal on 6th street but it has been remove. Now the nearest one is uphill from Royal on 6th at the bus stop nearest city hall. I would suggest that there be at least 4 or 5 put in place so people at least have a chance to do the right thing.

Still people making dangerous and illegal left turns across the double solid line. Especially dangerous when they come straight off of the McBride ramp and cut across Royal immediately. No action from the city after many months.
  • 1030 Royal Avenue - New Westminster
Once again a pile of junk left in the lane for the past few weeks behind this business.
