Anyone who has taken route 8 south, exit 15 to route 34 south has witnessed the numerous drivers who pass everyone on the exit ramp to make a right turn from the center lane (where the markings are clearly straight only) rush to the next light and cut drivers off as they move back over to the right, causing delays in the traffic patiently waiting in the proper right turn lane. Derby PD takes the time to nail the users of cell phones on the other side of the bridge. What would it take to have a plain clothes officer do the same kind of sting at that intersection and ticket these selfish jerks. They break the law habitually every day, anger the patient drivers, risk accidents, and will continue to do so until the law is enforced.

I am sympathetic to someone who is legitimately down on their luck, but this is no place to ask for help. There has been panhandlers sitting on the traffic island where Division st. meets Pershing drive. It is dangerous to the individual(s) and distracting to the drivers. Unfortunately, there are some who prey on peoples sympathy and generosity and are not destitute at all, collecting as a day time job. I have seen teams working 34 & 10 in New Haven. In this case, they should be arrested for fraud.

It is against the law to post these signs all over town. The statutes say we can fine and even jail the offenders. Yet, these have been up since January. It's not enough to just send out APW to tear them down. They just put them up again. Time to enforce the law on the books. 17-24 & Section 93

Just avoided a 3 way head-on as the light changed green for Chestnut, the light facing Main suddenly turned green as well. Luckily no accident.

Signs for "Rock the Valley" plastered on telephone poles all over the valley. Almost 2 weeks has past and they are still up. What message is the City of Ansonia sending to those who post signs advertising "Krav Maga" or "We Buy Houses" ? I find it hypocritical that the city tells others this is unlawful, but
plasters signs in the same places. (Under 17-24, the city can allow such postings) But to leave them up for weeks after the event sends the wrong message and is an eyesore.

Electric contractor rips up sidewalk to run wire for signals. Haphazardly patches sidewalk with asphalt. Sidewalks here are concrete. When Stop n Shop re-did their parking lot, they used concrete. When Cumberland farms re-built, they used concrete. Who is signing off on this shoddy workmanship.
  • Bridge Street Ansonia, Connecticut - Ansonia

What is up with the city of Ansonia?
Bridge street sidewalks are still not plowed.

Where is the enforcement on neighborhood sidewalks?
Kids need clear walkways to get to their bus stops.

Even Burger King cannot be bothered clearing their walkways.
Saw a family with young kids walking on Division street last night, in the dark, they were almost hit by a car.

With the new Ansonia administration came a great idea, a cost cutting commission. What has happened to this commission? Just heard from a customer that it was not meeting any more. Can any one shed some light on this?
