Once again the trail between Pinnacle Drive and the lake is flooded again. This always happens this time of year as well as when we get heavy rain.

I do admire the commitment to creating new trails but that should not come to the detriment of existing trails that need maintenance.

    Thanks.

Not sure who dumped the snow on the sidewalk along 114 st by Westpointe Church, but it is very hazardous to get around and impossible for people in wheelchairs.

Why is this sigh here? Confusing as it makes you think the road ahead is blocked on 116st.

Sign is confusing as trail is now open.

When the new playground went in the never put the section of fence that was taken out back.

This makes it dangerous for young children to run out of the park and into the road.

    Thanks.

The manhole cover has dropped to the point of being a severe issue when impacted by a wheel.

    Thanks.

Pinnacle Drive And 108st Grande Prairie, Alberta - Grande Prairie

The traffic management system is not working at this intersection, the timing is ok up to a certain time, not sure exact time, but today at around 9am the light where only letting about 3 cars out of Pinnacle causing major backup issues on Pinnacle drive.

I thought this intersection was under the auto traffic management system that automatically could see traffic and adjust the sequence on the fly based on volume as at the time the volume in 108st was low.

Totally missed Pinnacle West yesterday on the first run bsed on the new policy. Obvious now you are under resourced as this would have been a time when you would have had everything you could muster out.
  • 24415 68 Ave Grande Prairie, Alberta - Grande Prairie

Wondering if the intelligent lighting is working along the 108st yet? The lights at 68ave need tweaking if the system is up and running.

    Thanks

According to the city website street cleaning has been completed in Pinnacle.

    A. There where never any signs
    B. I never saw any street cleaner.
    C. There is no way anyone came to clean this is front of my house.

  • 100 Avenue Grande Prairie, Alberta - Grande Prairie

This may fall under the province if so please pass along.

The advance signal for turning south, toward Costco, when coming from the west is very hit and miss. Often it missed a whole cycle and the traffic backs up sometimes as far as the intersection to Home Depot.

This did not start happening when the repaved it has been going on for a long time.

Makes more sense to me that during the high traffic times this advance should be set to just on and not triggered.

    Thanks.

  • 108 Street Grande Prairie, Alberta - Grande Prairie

This has been mentioned before and it is getting worse.

As traffic travel south on hwy 40 the intersection at 68ave is the last one before open road. There are no warning light to indicate a signal change.

I agree that drivers need to drive to the conditions but yet again a very large semi with flatbed loaded blew the red light. If someone has been travelling east on 68ave and already been in motion it could have easily been a fatality.

The understand this is a provincial highway, but the city needs to out pressure on the government to fix this very dangerous intersection.

With the road conditions the way they are right now more large truck are taking the change and running the light instead of braking.

BTW, thanks for the work on the roads, you have a thankless task these days.

4 way stop and a school bus stop on corner. Dark with the light out. Should be a priority fix.

I would like an update as to where we are at with getting the crossing repaired. We keep hearing about the city working with CN. Election time coming so need to know if we need to start petitioning to potential council members as this has gone on long enough.

    OK.

So now will the city do something about the bad repair on 100st from around 84th to downtown?

Earlier in the summer the cracks where repaired very badly, lots of people complained a number on this site. The city says they would monitor the situation to see if they would flatten out.

Well they have not flatted out, even with the very warm weather we have had this summer, and the road is in a worse state than it was before the repair.

I pretty much know the response will be that it will be looked at in the spring as it is to late now.

Sad, that we have to put up with a bad road all winter now, will be very interested to see what the snow plows do to the bumps.

  • 100 St Grande Prairie, AB - Grande Prairie

I am submitting a request to have the bumps to 100 St near 84th Ave repaired!!!

A number of people have submitted issues since the “repair” was done around June, the response all summer has been, “ the bumps will flatten out.

Well after all the heat we had this summer you would have expected them to flatten out, well that does not seem to be the case and once the snow flies and the plows start hitting the bumps the situation will be worse.

The repair was done badly in the first place and for some reason the city seems very reluctant to go back and do it right.

You took, what was a ok road, and turned into a very bumpy road, and expect us to live with the bumps.

Wapiti Road Grande Prairie, AB - Grande Prairie

The railroad crossing on Wapiti Rc are getting beyond bad, they are getting dangerous to the point of causing people to brake very fast as they see the tracks and the possible damages going to be caused to their vehicles.

I do understand that the track crossings are not the responsiblity of the city but CN or the provinces as it is a highway. BUT there must come a point when the city should take some sort of action when danger to residents driving on a city road becomes high.

I tried to call CN and go the runaround as if nobody new about repair to crossing.

Hope the city had use its power and get so something done as I dread to think what these will become as winter comes. It's very odd that the whole section of this road was only recently redone.

These 3 potholes have been here for years. They have been reported but nothing happens.

The attached picture is actually from Google Streetview, and we know they cam around a few years ago.

I do understand that they are not really potholes they are actually the utility covers dropped.

    Can we get this fixed.

BTW. same area, the "crack" repair smoothing out is not really happening and if they are not done by winter the snow plows will rip up the repair and it will be worse.

    Thanks.

  • Resources Rd Grande Prairie, AB - Grande Prairie
The ripped up resources road weeks ago. Since then a few catch basins have been repaired. Why do we have to put up with ripped up roads for so long. If we can live with no top coat all summer we might as well not both we and save the money.
  • Resources Road Grande Prairie, AB - Grande Prairie

Not sure if this is your or the school board.

There is a broken steel fence post at an angle on the sidewalk that runs along resources by the school.

If someone was to come off their bike they could suffer serious injury.

    Thanks
