  • Willow Oaks Blvd Hampton, VA - North King St
The section of Willow Oaks Blvd between Fox Hill Rd and Apollo Dr has a lot of small potholes and is very bumpy. This needs to be patched up or re-paved.
  • 242 Fox Hill Rd Hampton, VA - North King St
Currently at the intersection of Fox Hill Road and Willow Oaks Blvd, there are only crosswalks on 3 sides. People cross from the Bromley side to the Willow Oaks Blvd side (by Bank of America) all the time anyways, so there might as well be a crosswalk and crosswalk light there.
  • I- 64 Hampton, VA - Aberdeen
On I-64 eastbound, between the 664 interchange and LaSalle Avenue, the road is very bumpy which makes for very poor driving conditions. The road needs to be re-paved or something.
  • I- 64 Hampton, VA - Northampton
Between Hampton Roads Center Pkwy and Magruder on I-64 East at least, the road is very bumpy and needs to be re-layered or re-paved or something. The current state makes for some very poor driving conditions.
  • 12105 Jefferson Ave Newport News, VA - Newport News city
The intersection at Jefferson Ave and Oyster Point needs to have the green time extended, at least for people turning left onto OP from Jefferson. It's really too short for the amount of traffic coming through and that just encourages people to speed up through the yellow or even red light and thus could lead to more accidents.
  • I- 64 Hampton, VA - Northampton
On I-64 between Harpersville Rd and Big Bethel Rd, there's a bunch of street lights that are either burnt out or just not working. These need to be fixed.
  • I- 64 Newport News, VA - Newport News city
There should be something done about the ramp coming from Ft Eustis Blvd onto I-64 East. There is an accident there nearly everyday or in the vicinity thereof. The merge lane either needs to be made longer or changed into maybe a flyover type structure like Mercury in Hampton. Or perhaps make the ramp similar to how the Jefferson one is further down 64 East.
  • Denbigh Blvd Newport News, VA - Newport News city
On & off-ramps should be added at the I-64/Denbigh Blvd overpass. This would help a lot in terms of people accessing the Denbigh section of Newport News, as well as help people using the Interstate to get from Ft. Eustis/Lee Hall to Denbigh.
  • I- 64 Newport News, VA - Newport News city
Interstate 64 from Ft. Eustis Blvd to Jefferson Avenue needs to be widened to 3 or 4 lanes in each direction at least. Traffic backs up there everyday and it's almost as bad as the HRBT in terms of backup distance/time spent sitting.
  • Warwick Blvd Newport News, VA - Lee's Mill
The exit ramp from Warwick onto Ft. Eustis Blvd (headed towards I-64) has a bunch of a little potholes that need patching up.
  • Warwick Blvd Newport News, VA - Newport News city
The old Reservoir Middle School (now Denbigh Early Childhood Center) has flashing school zone signs, but no end school zone signs. These should be added so drivers know when they are allowed to speed back up to regular speed.
  • 17338 Warwick Blvd Newport News, VA - Newport News city
Lee Hall Elementary School has a school zone with accompanying flashing lights, but there is no signage for where the school zone ends. This should be added to assist drivers for when they are allowed to speed back up to regular speed.
  • 17431 Warwick Blvd Newport News, VA - Newport News city
There needs to be a left turn lane added to the intersection of Rt 60 (Warwick Blvd) and Elmhurst St. Traffic backs up there quite frequently as it is a yield on green and only 1 lane in each direction. During the summer tourist season, it's not uncommon for it to be backed up all the way back to the Grove community if not further.
  • 17811 Warwick Blvd Newport News, VA - Newport News city
These signs have been up here for 3+ years now and as far as I can tell, there isn't any construction traffic coming or going in their vicinity. They should be removed.
  • 469-477 Denbigh Blvd Newport News, VA 23602, USA - Newport News city
Why is there no yield on green at this intersection, but there is at Oriana & Denbigh? That's dumb, IMO. This entrance to the shopping center is much more convenient for people going to Food Lion, so it's silly to make them wait for a green light (the light currently sits red forever until the change, whereas it should just be a yield green when oncoming traffic has a straight-through green).
  • Brick Kiln Blvd Newport News, VA 23602, USA - Newport News city
This intersection needs to be re-routed, back towards Patrick Henry Mall, past the Interstate, IMO. Traffic backs up constantly on I-64 because of this intersection. If it were moved, there'd be no reason for traffic to back up, as they wouldn't be trying to get over right away.
  • Tide Mill Ln Hampton, VA - Mercury Central
Not sure if it's been done since the last time I've been down there, but at the intersection of Armistead & Tide Mill, it'd be a wonderful idea to extend the lane for people turning left from Armistead onto Tide Mill. At rush hour the traffic regularly (at least used to) backs up into the straight-through lanes.
  • U.S. 258 Hampton, VA 23666, USA - Mercury Central
There is no reason to have a traffic light at this intersection. There can't possibly be enough traffic going in/out of the neighborhood to justify it. All it does is slow down Mercury for no good reason, IMO.
  • 126 Blow Flats Rd VA - James City County
This road gets soooo much truck traffic (dump trucks mostly) that it is not exactly what I would call safe to drive on. The trucks seem to not be able to (or just don't care to) stay on their side of the road, so it's very difficult to keep driving when one is on-coming. There's plenty of room on the vacant for sale lot to widen the road slightly. In addition, in my other issue about BFR, I suggested straightening out the turn, this is definitely a good idea as it is a blind curve and you can't see on-coming traffic when you're going around it, very dangerous with the way these dump trucks rip through there.
  • 104 Blow Flats Rd VA - James City County
This intersection at Blow Flats Road and Rt 60 (Pocahontas Trail) could really stand to be re-designed. You have to make practically a 270 degree turn to turn left onto BFR from 60 which is silly. There's plenty of room to straight the turn out, so it might as well be done. This would also help with the truck traffic that comes through there.
