Last week on trash night, Tuesday November 14th, I put out lawn and leaf bags. While walking my dog on Wed. the 15th at 4:30 pm I saw the lawn & leaf crew drive past my house without picking them up. I called DGS from the street right away & reported it.

I was told the crew would be contacted and to leave them out. When they were still there on Thursday morning, I called again. I was told to leave the bags out and they would be collected. They were not.

I called this morning, Tues. 11/21 to report the bags were still out and had not been picked up and that tomorrow was my trash day again. Again I was told to leave them out. They would be picked up. I did as I was told. Now it has snowed.

I have been patient. I have been diligent and vigilant about calling and communicating. I have no way to move or store these now soggy bags. They should have been picked up and I am expecting they still will be. Please. Thank you.

Trash was not put out for pick-up today (Wed.) Trash cans with torn bags, and trash is on the ground in front of the house.

This house has been abandoned for some years. The place was boarded up - not a great job, but the windows and door were boarded up. I walked by today and the boards are off windows - the front door was visibly pried open, the windows are open too.

On a couple of instances while walking my dog I had seen APD assessing the house. I assumed they were taking action. Nothing happened except the house is more visibly breached than the last time they were there.

Please act on this ASAP. This is a hazard for the community and makes all of us in the neighborhood less safe. There's no way to be sure what type of people are using this house or for what purpose.

    Thank you.

At the intersection of Park Ave. and S. Lake, on the Psyc. Center side there are 2 sewer grates, but you wouldn't know it as they are covered up by dirt, and I'm guessing, trash. I'd appreciate it if they were opened up before the bigger rain day on Thursday if possible. Also, there are 2 on the Park Ave. Side of S. Lake but I didn't note their condition. I'm hoping you can check on those.
    Thanks

Someone new who owns a good size dog has moved into our area and is not picking up their dog poop. It's (at the least) on Park and S. Lake going towards new Scotland Ave. My dog contracted whipworm during her walks around this area. It is hard to clear and they live in the ground for 10 years. It was about $150 to test and treat and I now have to put her on monthly meds. (Interceptor) for the rest of her life as I'm a homeowner and not planning on moving. For those reading this, and I hope the offender is one - please pick up your dog's poop. Besides being gross, you are endangering the health of other dogs. If anyone reading this has seen the offender, please note the dog and dog walker description, the time of day and location and call Animal Control so they can patrol the area and find this person and fine him/her. If any of you see blood in your dog's poop get it tested. Sorry for the bad news and thank you.

On the S. Lake side of 500 Park Ave. someone placed misc. household items on the ground, curbside. I doubt it was one of their tenants as a private hauler picks up the trash for that house, and this is the first time I've seen trash or misc. items on the ground there and I've lived near, and have walked that way for almost 30 years.

There is litter at 608 Myrtle and at almost every house between and including the St. Rose building and around the corner from it on its Ontario St. side. It is curbside, in alleys/driveways, on lawns, under shrubs, under front stairs. Pretty much everywhere on the even side of the street. Please pay this neighborhood a visit. It's been bad, but has gotten worse recently.

Someone dumped trash in a re-usable store bag curbside right across the street from 232 Morris. There is not a house there, it's the area on the Morris side of the fenced in parking lot. Also, nearer the corner, behind the same lot, someone has left a large quilt on the grass.

I called DGS about 10 days ago to report a slab of concrete curbside that was a trip hazard in front of 562 Park Ave. I was given case #8181532. So far no remedy has been provided. The slab has raised about 1" - 1 1/2" inch. above the curb. To help DGS remedy, the best day to address this is on Thursday as alternate parking regs. leave the even side of street free of parked cars. Please replace the slab as as grinding still does not prevent a person from tripping. I have experienced that myself on slabs of sidewalk that have been ground down. While it may be quick and inexpensive, it really is not the best remedy.
    Thanks

This pole by 400 Park Ave. near S. Lake is listing North and West. It has one of those heavy oil filled transformer units on it. Please check its stability. Also, a tree just to the left of it in front of 400 Park Ave. has some large dead branches and also one live heavy branch hanging out into/over the street almost out to the center of street with a serious bow to it. Please send the tree people to inspect.

Several potholes need filling. They are close to merging - maybe it would be better to cut out the small areas separating them and do one big patch instead of treating them individually. They were filled once but came back and are worse than before.

The Commodore apartment building "lawn" is an eyesore and dragging down the neighborhood. Trash overflowing from barrels every time I walk down the street. There are too few to handle the tenants needs. Trash is all over the front No one cleans this place up. It's been this way for months.

The neighborhood, it seems, is trying to look better. Please help it.
