Hiding Like Ya'll

Is there any limit to the length of the City of Clawson's tentacles into our business? I went on two month long vacations starting in late May 2017. When I returned from the second trip I had a letter waiting for me stating that the City was concerned that I was not using enough water.
    1) I am not required to notify the City when I am going on vacation.
    2) I am not required to tell the City where I am going.
    3) I am not required to notify the city when I plan to return from vacation.
The implication is that I am stealing water. Well go ahead and officially charge me with that offense, get a warrant, and based on my attorney's advice you may or may not be allowed to enter my home.

I am sick and tired of being woke up by a pip-squeak barking dog that sometimes starts at 7:30 am and goes on most of the day. I have a medical condition that sometimes keeps me up until 6:00 am. I can no longer sleep in. I do not have air conditioning because I have radiator heat and must sleep with the windows open. I can no longer visit my own backyard with out violating that dog's space. If I must, I will use my own method to shut it up if the owners do not try to quell the disturbance.
I can't be the only neighbor who is bothered by this. I've had 32 years of peace without barking dogs....until now.

A dead tree has been laying on low hanging wires since that extreme wind storm we had in early March 2017. A call to Clawson PD resulted in the question: "Is it sparking?" NO, it is not sparking. "Well there is no need to worry about it". So, when the people of south Webik lose their cable, phone, or electric, blame the Clawson PD. They were notified weeks ago and took no action. I am not touching it.

Are you tired of plastic bags of advertisements being thrown at, under your vehicles, on your lawn, or in your street? Snow will be coming any day and our snow blowers will be clogging up with bags of newspaper. Someone may lose a hand by improper clearing of the clogged blower. The City won't/can't fight for us because the perpetrators are now hiding behind the 1st Amendment. WELL, WE CAN DO THE SAME. Each advertiser is paying someone to trash our yards. Pick an advertiser and return the favor. Throw it in their doorways, parking lots, sidewalks, tie it to their shopping carts, etc. Let them clean up after us every week. We are not breaking any laws because we are exercising our RIGHT TO FREE SPEECH. Just be sure to write a something polite inside the paper. The responsible merchants will get the message and use the USPS like Kroger and other responsible neighbors.

Responding to the generic statement on Clawson's web site regarding Raccoons, Woodchucks, Skunks, Opossums as follows:

The Division will respond to raccoons, bats or skunks inside the living quarters. Oakland County will not respond to nuisance wildlife nesting in attics or crawl spaces.

What about live trapped animals? Ask my neighbor, Councilman Airriess. He has had them running through his yard. I'm certain he is glad they are gone. This year I've live trapped and relocated 3 Raccoons, 9 Opossums, 8 Woodchucks (that can and will destroy the foundation of a house in a few days), and FERAL CATS in the past. I've trapped two "wild cats" that were living on what wildlife they could catch. I took them to the Humane Society on Auburn Road near Adams and had to pay $25 each to get rid of a scumbag neighbor's problem. They were unadoptable because of their wildness. I've laid it all out for you but I'd like to see some responsibility being taken by the City of Clawson for their disposal. How about some reimbursement for mileage at $0.54 per mile for taking the others to South Blvd and Crooks for humane release? Or $50 for the cats? Or should I just relocate them to north Clawson?

This issue was reported to the Mayor several weeks ago. To her credit she got the DPW right on it but they did a half-donkey job. The dead tree I complained about is now in the street.

This problem I pointed out to Mayor Luebs a couple of months ago. Dead trees hanging over the road, overgrown lilac bushes interfering with street drainage, poor visibility for motorists entering cul-de-sac. DPW came out and did a half-donkey job. Now a large dead tree has fallen into the road. I have my car blocking it until it can be dealt with.

Looks like mostly drywall with a mixture of other building materials. The Colorado Blue Spruces need to be pruned a minimum of 4 feet from the bottom up. The parking lot corner attracts contractors, some innocently eating lunch, some hiding while they kill time, EMS trucks (Hiding or awaiting a call) and illegal dumpers. The more evergreen branches there are to hide behind, the easier it is to dump waste.

Overgrown Colorado Blue Spruces that are as prickly as a prickly pear cactus. I break out in red blotches after coming in contact. Why not walk on the other side of street? It takes me out of my way. Why not tear up the existing sidewalk if it is not going to be maintained?
