The drainage ditch that runs along the back side of Fossil Park is always choked with weeds and vegetation. With the drainage ditch already full, there's no room for flood waters to drain. Last week our neighborhood made the TV news multiple times because of extensive flooding. Since this is our rainy/hurricane season, it would make sense to clean those ditches out on a regular basis so they can do the job they were designed to do which is help prevent neighborhood/street flooding. The news is always encouraging citizens to plan ahead and be prepared. A little preventative maintenance in this area might go a long way to help with the flood issues.
