Mckinley Ave & Fountain St New Haven, Connecticut - Westville
I just (about an hr ago) witnessed a yellow snow plow truck bury a fire hydrant in roughly 5 feet of snow. This was at the corner of McQKkinley Avenue & Fountain Street, the plow was clearing the 2nd lane of McKinley & depositing the accumulated snow at the corner by St. Aedan's Church. The stop sign on that corner is right next to the hydrant so can be used to know where the hydrant is (beneath all the snow). The plow driver didn't seem to have noticed the hydrant, just turned onto Fountain and drove away. The Westville firehouse needs to know this.

The ridge of snow atop the low median strip running between McKinley & Dayton St continues well past the end of said median strip, only ending in front of St. Aedan's church. It is at least 12:inches high & poses an insurmountable barrier to pedestrians crossing the street to get to and from the bus stop on that corner, especially to senior citizens using a cane! PLEASE get rid of this before the buses start running again. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
