Please pickup the dead squirrel in front of 9668 Carter Avenue, Allen Park.

In the back there is a large deck housing a hot tub. The issue is that the deck is not being maintained and it is harboring a rat population that all the neighbors are upset about. The issue is so bad that there are "rat" trails leading to and from the deck. Especially at night, the rats run across other driveways and are starting to tunnel into other properties. Even with neighbors talking to this owner does not help.

Back yard has clutter harboring Rats. Garage has a hole where rats are going in and out of. Rats are constantly in and out of this back yard.

Repairs have been done to the house, however, debris from renovations are all piled up in the back yard, and it's not being taken care of. Local resident has talked to the Mayor in the past about the disrepair to the house, and work has been done. It's just the debris left behind. It has been this way for over 2 months. This could result in rats in the debris.

Neighbor is concerned that a tree in front of mentioned address was marked in the spring to be "cut down" but then the marks started to go away with rain, etc. The someone came out and re-marked the tree a couple months ago--but nothing has been done yet. Neighbor is concerned for elderly neighbor living at address who is concerned that tree may come down on her house at some point.

Ms. Speaks reports that there are constantly Bees swarming around the entrance to the Library. This is likely due to the open garbage cans by the door. The garbage cans should have closed lids with the swinging door, or some type of resolution to eliminate the problem.

The Library is not meeting the ADA requirement of having an electronic door for our citizens who are unable to manually open the door. Our citizens should not have to wait outside the door of the library waiting for someone to open it just so they can return a book, or check one out.

This issue also exists at City Hall as well. Although there is an elevator, there is no way to electronically open a door.

Resident called issue into the City of Allen Park. Resident who lives on Ray near Louise says her and her neighbors up and down the street put out their garbage on the lawn by the street, however, when Republic comes to take their garbage, they put the cans out in the street. Because of this, the street sweepers have to go around them. Her and the neighbors have complained to DPS about this over the years. The issue is resolved for a while--but then they start doing it again. Can this be resolved?

Resident reports that her neighbor's air conditioner is way too loud. She would like to know if there is a Noise Ordinance this violates. If you were facing her house from the street--it is the house to the right that has the loud air conditioner.

Whole street east of Allen all the way to Lincoln Park, garbage was not picked up on the south side of the street (it was picked up on the north side). Please have someone come out today to pick it up before the weekend. Thank you.

14 months ago, there was a water main break. Around two weeks ago, sod was tore up and a new approach was put in. There was a large chunk of cement left behind and the sod was not repaired/replaced. In talking to one of the workers, they said they would have someone come out the next day to take care of it, but no one came out. Block of cement needs to be removed and sod needs to be taken care of.

Resident called this issue into the City. Tree is so old and large, when branches die off and fall, they have caused damage to cars, and could ultimately hurt someone. The roots are also overgrown and they are lifting the sidewalk. Resident was told 5 years ago that the tree was on a trim list, but no one ever came out, she is wondering how long a tree has to be on a list before it's trimmed.

Issue called into the City regarding front porch and back yard containing a pile-up of items that are a visual eye sore, such as seasonal decorations and such. Would like an Ordinance Officer to see if this can be taken care of.

Resident called this issue into the City--
The maple tree between the sidewalk and the street has been dead for years. We've been told that the tree is on a list to be cut, but nothing is being done.

House has been abandoned for several years. Owners do not live there and do not maintain it or care. A petition was sent to City Hall with several of the neighbors' signatures and nothing has been done. Raccoons have lived in the eaves for several generations.
