Traffic and Road Signs Archived1596 Concordia Avenue Saint Paul, Minnesota - Merriam Park
The YIELD SIGN was placed many feet after the crosswalk on this corner.
Therefore, people are not stopping at all for pedestrians who are trying to cross. This new design was poorly thought out as people who actually live in this neighborhood have a tremendous amount of trouble trying to access it especially during high traffic times as cares coming off the freeway and buses use that lane making it very difficult to merge into and turn into our neighborhood.
I have seen many pedestrians have trouble crossing as cars do not stop until they see the YIELD sign after the crosswalk.
Please move the sign AHEAD of the crosswalk so drivers are prepared.
This was a terrible design idea for the neighbors who have to use Carroll ave as a means to get home.

Traffic and Road Signs Archived401 Snelling Avenue North Saint Paul, Minnesota - Merriam Park
My son was hit by a car last night while in the crosswalk on Snelling and Saint Anthony Ave.
There is NO YIELD SIGN
to oncoming traffic and even though he had a walk sign the person in the car was turning onto Saint Anthony from Snelling didn't even bother to slow down or Stop.
My son was unhurt thankfully and was NOT wearing dark clothes!
There needs to be signs in place for pedestrians as this is a very busy crosswalk and will only continue to get more busy when the stadium is put in.Please put in the YIELD sign that was removed to do the new bridge ahead of the crosswalk so pedestrians have a chance to cross safely.
Thank you
