Recent sidewalk replacements along Colonial St. reached Richmond Ave. Why did the work not continue down Richmond to the dead end of the street? The sidewalk on the left or western side of the street is in terrible shape, with broken, missing and raised concrete throughout. See the photos. We had expected the work at the Colonial St. corners would extend to replace the Richmond Ave. sidewalk. When can this sidewalk get replaced? It creates a hazard for pedestrians, especially the elderly and children. Thanks!

I put in this request yesterday. We have the bagged dead skunk at curbside as requested. After close to 24 hours, we are concerned that other critters will rip open the bag to get at the carcass. Plus it stinks. Please remove promptly. Thank you

A skunk was killed on our property. We bagged it and tried to have it taken with the trash but the garbage haulers refused because of the stench. How do we dispose of it properly? Thanks.

Just watched as the trash collectors took garbage and recycling together in the same truck along my short block. Has New Haven stopped recycling?

Third time writing: The lid is broken on my brown toter. The result is that rain and animals get into it, and the garbage collectors spill trash and leave trash in the bottom. It's gross. I was told I'd get a new lid. That was two weeks ago. When? Drop one off or why don't the trash collectors carry lids with them?

Have already reported once and received no reply. Our brown trash toter lid has broken off. We need a new one. How do we get one? Thanks, Marc

Large tree on Woodbridge Ave at the corner of Alston Ave without leaves and many brittle looking branches, clearly sick or dying. Tree has already dropped multiple branches and presents a serious potential hazard to harm people on sidewalks and passing cars.

Large limb came down. The adjacent limb in the tree appears to be in danger of falling too and it hangs over the street. It will hurt or kill if it falls on someone or a passing car. North side of Barnett nearest to West Elm.

At 6:30PM, we spotted a small dog--maybe a bichon-maltese type mix--white/gray fur with a blue sweater and collar running into Fountain at the corner of Dayton St. We tried to get it, but it ran away. It's hanging around there and is clearly lost and looking for its home/owner. Please get it before it gets hit by a car.

Sidewalk has crumbled entirely, now only pebbles and concrete dust.
  • 36 Richmond Ave. New Haven, Connecticut - Westville
Broken sidewalk appears to be the result of roots from street tree that was taken down. Please investigate for repair.

Bagged yard waste was not collected on Richmond, Colonial or Woodbridge Aves.
  • 2-24 Huntington Street New Haven, Connecticut - Prospect Hill
Light for traffic on Huntington at Whitney Ave. and exiting Hooker Middle School onto Whitney (or across to Huntington) in the a.m. cycles so rapidly and then stays red for so long that children are forced to cross Whitney rather than be dropped off in the school driveway. Also leads to cars doing u-turns and turning onto Whitney where traffic is moving fast and children are crossing. A potentially dangerous situation.

PW did not collect yard refuse bagged and on the street yesterday. Please return to collect. Thanks.

A homeless person has been living in the 1st base dugout at Amryhn little league baseball field for months. He leaves urine there, trash, and cardboard bedding and since the weather turned colder has been setting fires to keep warm. This is clearly a dangerous and unhealthy situation--and something unpleasant for the young players to deal with during games. He should be moved to a shelter or other transitional housing.
